Rotary Community service

Projects are aimed at uplifting and assisting the community

Assistance is given in a variety of ways including the supply of food, clothes, blankets, equipment, toys, building materials and many others.

Rotary supports the commnity

The Rotary Club of Benoni Aurora supports a variety of service projects in our community. These include


• The  Garden of life, feeding many in our local community

• In Winter blankets are distributed to those in need

• Supply of wheelchairs and mobility aids to those in need

• Assistance at the Northfield Methodist Church Charity Shop

• Refurbishment of nursery school and after care facilities, including new floor, painting of playground equipment and upgrading outside facilities

• Collection of food and toys during our Halloween Walk in October and Santa Sleigh early December, that is distributed to charities

• Assisting in stationery drive for new school year

• Providing new school shoes throughout Africa via the Put Foot Foundation

• Support for a local foster home where vulnerable children are cared for, nourished, loved and guided to experience their own magnificence

• Upgrading the boarding section and kitchen equipment of a school for disabled children

• Contribution to the Boikango Bug project for heart surgery for children

• Educational and therapy toys for physiotherapists at NGO

• Support the environment by donating a refuse bin for a bird conservancy
